Cantabella

Under the direction of Lori May, Cantabella is our advanced all girl training choir.

Singers must be at least in the 5th grade
One to two years of choral experience is highly recommended
Singers should be able to:
- sing in tune
- sing in the treble range
- have a basic understanding of music reading
Rehearsals are once a week for 135 minutes
During rehearsals we focus on:
- vocal technique that is unique to girl singers
- developing the muscial ear
- becoming versatile singers
- singing in harmony
- increasing independence
Concerts are at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts in December and May
Additional performances may include:
- school tours
- music festivals
Singers participate in an overnight retreat in the fall
