No experience necessary!

• Fall audition interviews for training choirs are held every May, June and early August. Spring audition interviews for training choirs are also held every January.
• In small groups, you will sing America (My Country 'Tis of Thee) and experience a short Young Voices lesson.
• By the end of the audition class, you and your parents will understand much more about the way our organization functions.
• You will learn how you too can be "Octaves above the rest..."

Audition Information

• Children who are at least 7 years old are eligible to audition for Young Voices of Colorado
• Children from all social, economic and ethnic backgrounds are welcomed
• Yearly tuition is charged and varies according to choir placement
• Need-based scholarships are available

Audition Requirements

• Simple, non-threatening audition
• Designed to check for range, intonation and tone quality
• Children will be asked to sing one stanza of "America"

How old does my child need to be to audition?
Boys and girls need to be as least 7 years old. There is no upper age limit.

Does my child need to have previous vocal training?
No. Boys and girls should have a love of singing and be able to sing in their treble voice.
